Linaro Automation Appliance

Welcome to the Linaro Automation Appliance (LAA) documentation.

LAA with a DUT

The LAA is a fully integrated Embedded Device testing appliance. The LAA provides everything needed by most hardware automation tasks while also allowing to share DUTs with remote users and customers.

The LAA is used in three ways. Start with the one that matches what you want to do:

  • 👩‍đŸ’ģ Developing on a DUT: power, flash and debug a board from your laptop, whether it sits on your desk or in a remote lab.

  • 🔁 Hardware in the CI loop: run tests on real hardware from GitLab CI, Labgrid, LAVA or KernelCI.

  • 🤝 Sharing a DUT: give someone outside your team access to your hardware, without giving them your lab network.

If you are new to the appliance itself, read the LAA Overview first.
