# MIBs In order to connect any DUT to the SIB, the Linaro Automation Appliance uses a Mechanical Interface Board (MIB) concept. For each DUT form-factor, a specific MIB is created. The MIB is connected to the SIB via the [SIB header](sib-header.md).
